Smart Glossary™ enables the creation, storage and management of business glossaries that can have very rich content about the meaning of each glossary entry and its relationships with other glossary entries.  In fact, the semantics in Smart Glossary™ are so rich that glossaries using the full range of its semantic content can rightly be called "Business Ontologies”.

Smart Glossary™ implements the "Terminological Dictionary" part of the OMG's "Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules" (SBVR) standard [http://www.omg.org/spec/SBVR/1.5/PDF], as well as the ISO TC 37 Terminology standards ISO 704, ISO 1087-1 and ISO 12620 that are supported by the ISO 30042 Term Base Exchange (TBX) standard [https://www.iso.org/standard/62510.html] [https://www.tbxinfo.net/].  The remaining part of the SBVR standard is implemented in Well-defined Rules™.

· On-the-fly support for preferred designations of Speech Communities (multilingual Unicode support) – change the current Speech Community, refresh the screen or report, and see the new Speech Community’s preferred designations

· Semantic Paste™ to compose formally understood definitions, rule statements and terms in documents with mouse-over definitions of each part of the designation, definition or rule statement

· Ability to import/export SBVR XML models (Clause 15.3), ISO TBX files, and SBVR Structured English styled terminological entries in documents (Semantic Formulations import/export available in 2024).
